The conformity appraisal procedure is a procedure for the evaluation of product security after the defaults of EEC guidelines with the goal of proving the conformity with the requirements of the guideline. Products EEC guidelines in accordance with kind 95 EEC contract (so-called domestic market guidelines) specify fundamental safety and health requirements for numerous products as minimum requirements, which must be fulfilled by the manufacturer. The conformity appraisal procedure must be accomplished by the manufacturer for each product before the first Inverkehrbringen and is a condition for the CE-marking of a product, if this is intended in the appropriate guideline. With the conformity evaluation prove the manufacturer that its product fulfills the fundamental health and safety requirements of the respective EEC guideline. At the end of the conformity appraisal procedure the manufacturer issues an EEC conformity explanation for his product, in which he explains that the product is conformal to the requirements of the appropriate guideline (n). In the appendices of the guidelines different modules for the execution of a conformity appraisal procedure are called. Which module can be selected, depends on the classification of the product. For products with higher risk the inclusion of a designated place is mandatory at the time of the execution of the conformity appraisal procedure.
