The Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) is a anarchosyndikalistische trade union in Spain and member of the international female workers association (IAA), the matter in Spanish "Association international de Trabajadores" (AIT). The trade union was with 2 million members of one of the most important participants of the resistance against Franco in the Spanish civil war, where it succeeded occasionally a functioning, socialistically/to anarchist society in far parts of Kataloniens auzubauen, whereby the living conditions were material increased there. After the victory of Francos fascist it was forbidden and based 1976 in the unlawfulness and officially only to 1979 again, without being able to tie however to the old meaning. Several splitting off, the most important occurred are the general del Trabajo Spain (CGT) with 60.000 members.

The CNT was created 1910 in Barcelona. It had and has its emphasis in Katalonien. The country-wide newspaper of the trade union appears monthly and is called likewise "CNT". The newspaper of the Kataloni CNT is the "Soli" or "Solidaridad Obrera". From the CNT also the anarchist woman Mrs. Mujeres Libres developed out (literal: "free women").

German sister organization is the FAU free female worker and worker union; in France a anarchosyndikalistische trade union of the same name, the national one you exists to Travail.
