Christian Friedrich Budenberg (* 21 December 1815 in on the Hobe with new churches country); "† 11 September 1883 in Buckau with Magdeburg) was an entrepreneur and joint founder of the mechanical engineering enterprise Schaeffer and Budenberg.Budenberg as a son of a grocer was born. From 1833 to 1836 it completed a commercial theory in Bielefeld.

1850 submitted Bernhard a brother-in-law Budenbergs, to it an offer for the establishment of an enterprise in Magdeburg. Together with the mechanic master Franz Primavesi justified both the company Schaeffer & Co. Mechanical workshop. The enterprise produced Plattenfedermanometer, for which had received 1849 a patent. Already 1852 separated Primavesi from the enterprise. It took place a Umfirmierung in Schaeffer & Budenberg.

1859 shifted the enterprise its seat, due to a rising space requirement, to Buckau. Budenberg was responsible in the enterprise for the commercial side, for the development. Addresses in Manchester, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Zurich, New York and other places were created.

Against the resistance of the Buckauer citizen assembly Budenberg interspersed 1862 together with Christian Andreas Schmidt the building of gasworks, which were financed by him.

1881 were lent to it the title of royal Kommerzienrat.

It in honours a road is designated as Budenbergstrasse in today the Buckau belonging to Magdeburg.
