The successor of the Evanda becomes on the European market of the Chevrolet Epica. He is built in Korea of GM Daewoo and runs there under the name "Daewoo Tosca".

It is offered with two improved, crosswise inserted six cylinder row engines. The Epica celebrated its world premiere on that Geneva autosalon (2. - 12. March 2006) and will be available starting from June/July 2006 in Europe.

In the comparison to the predecessor the middle class sedan with front wheel drive in the external dimensions (L x B x H has: 4805 x 1810 x 1450 mm) clearly added. The wheel base amounts to 2700 mm. Optically fall at the four-door Epica above all its ascending, wedge-shaped silhouette with the salient alignment within the upper lateral range, the the chrome radiator grille with its remarkable tie bar and the clearly visible Chevrolet Logo as well as the large headlights pulled toward windshield and the not less remarkable rear lights in the eye. To the standard safety equipment of the Epica belong ABS, driver and front seat passenger Airbags as well as side and head Airbags.

The Epica is offered first with two six cylinder petrol engines with a capacity by 2,0 and 2,5 litres, which carry 144 and/or 157 HP out. Later the Epica will be available also with one of the new Common Rail diesel sets of Chevrolet.

Both engine types are alternatively available with 5-Gang-Schaltgetriebe or a new, electronically steered 5-Stufen-Automatikgetriebe.
