The Frontenac in the center is considered as one the main marriage worthynesses of the city. It became in late 19. Century by the architect Bruce Price for the Canadian railway company Canadian Pacific Railway built and is one the Canadian Pacific hotel. Price used here style elements of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The Frontenac is today one of the most exclusive luxury hotels in Canada.

It is designated after Louis de Buade, Comte de Frontenac et de Palluau (1662-1698), the most important governor of the French colony new France (Canada).
