Charles Stewart of roll (* 27 August 1877 in Berkeley Square, London; "† 12 July 1910 in Bournemouth) was together with Frederick Henry Royce of the founders of the automobile enterprise Rolls-Royce.

Roll became in London as a son of the 1. Baron Llangattock born. He was trained at the Eton college and at the Trinity college in Cambridge and was interested since its youth in engines. It united with Frederick Henry Royce and created 1906 the car factory Rolls-Royce. Royce supplied the technical expert knowledge and roll was responsible for the business.

Roll was also a flight pioneer and received as second humans in Great Britain from the Royal aero club a flight license. As the first it crossed 1910 doubly the English Channel with an airplane. In the same year came roll during a flight accident over Bournemouth over life, when the rear part of its airplane built of the brothers WRIGHTs broke off. He was thereby the first Britisher, who lost its life with an aircraft accident.
