The central association electro-technology and electronic industry registered association (ZVEI) is the syndicate of the industry of the electrical industry in Germany with seat in Frankfurt/Main. The ZVEI is a registered association and member in the Federal association of the German industry. It represents political and technological interests on national and international level and supports international standardization and standardisation projects. As roof federation of 24 professional associations the ZVEI represents more than 1,400 member firms and is after the federation German machine and equipment construction (VDMA) the second largest trade association in Germany.

The federation was created 1918. Since June 2004 is nat Professor Dr. rer. Edward G. Krubasik, Mitglied of the central executive committee the Siemens AG, president of the ZVEI.
