Carlo's Otto (* 7. March 1838 in Mirodor, Mexico, "† 13 November 1897 in Ahrweiler) was a German chemist and pupil Liebigs.

It developed the possibility of the production of by-products with the coking of coal and became thus a Wegbereiter of coal chemistry.

Otto created 1872 together with four further partners the company Dr. C. Otto & Comp. in Bochum. Its enterprise became world-wide prominent in the building of coke ovens.
