Carlo Lehder Rivas (* 1950), one the most famous Colombian Drogendealer and with trust assoziert and was jointly responsible together with George young for the cocaine wave end of the 1970er years in the USA.

Lehder, Colombian-German descent and in the USA born, began its criminal career as Marihuanadealer and with the smuggling of stolen cars.

While he served a detention in the state prison of Danbury, he planned further criminal machinations, this time however with a new export property from Colombia, together with its cell comrade George young which was still relatively unknown up to then in the USA: Cocaine.

By its too much influential persons, among other things to Pablo Escobar, it succeeded to gain many contacts it and George young in shortest time about 100 millions US$ clear profit with the "white snow". An important role played thereby the Bahamas island Norman's Cay, which served Lehder occasionally than seat and of from cocaine smuggling by sport airplanes and offshore boats was organized.

Lehder from the USA was explained by its role in world-wide cocaine smuggling to the public enemy Nr.1, 1987 arrested and to a lifelong imprisonment plus 135 years condemns. By a testimony against the former ruling power of Panama, Manuel Noriega, he was accepted 1995 allegedly to a witness protection program and could reduce the detention on 55 years. This is however answered in the negative from official side. Lehders today's place of residence is unknown.
