Carl waiter (* 26. March 1826 in Hirzenhain; "† 13. May 1855 in Wetzlar) created 1849 in Wetzlar optical Institut, who was resumed as a company Leitz 1869 of Ernst Leitz (1843-1920) as follow-up enterprise.
