Carl Sassenrath was one the core developer of the Amiga operating system, and the inventor of REBOL.

It created 1997 REBOL Technologies, with which it spread its self-developed Programiersprache. Carl Sassenrath is for more than 20 years an important developer of computer languages and operating systems, as well as Netzwerkcomputing. 1985, after he had finished the core Amiga multitasking operating system ("EXEC"), it became with Apple, HP and Commodore of chief executive programmer. He was also founder and president of Pantaray and American Multimedia, as well as CO-more founder from Videostream Inc. Sassenrath led the development of Internet set Top boxes for televisions and CDTV (the first set Top box with CD-ROM drive assembly).

It studied at the university of California and lives today in Ukiah.
