Karl (Carl) Christian Mez (* 20 April 1808 in Kandern, "† 28. May 1877 in Freiburg in mash gau) was Industrieller, Evangelist social theologian and politician.

Its silk linen thread factory in Freiburg, ererbte by the father, was for the social mechanisms introduced by Mez such as worker houses, public swimming pools and factory-park-ate well-known, Mez justified its activity with reference to its religion.

Of 1834 - 1849 and again starting from 1863 were Mez town councillor in Freiburg, where he justified and with substantial moneys provided for example Evangelist pin.

By May 1848 to June 1849 Mez belonged to the Frankfurt national assembly as a delegate for Villingen. Of 1845 - 1849 it was represented in the first chamber of the federal state parliament of Baden.
