Cameroon airlines is the national airline of Cameroon with seat in Douala.

History

The airline was created on 26 July 1971 and took up the flying operation on 1 November 1971 with two airplanes of type Boeing 737-200 on the distance Douala - With two former Boeing 707 of the air France the flying operation began to Rome and Paris. Boeing 707 were replaced to 1982 by Boeing 747-200. The airline belongs to the government of Cameroon to 96.43 % and to 3.57 % of the air France.

On 16 September 2005 Cameroon airlines was set for the French supervisory authority for civil aviation (DGAC) on "the black list ". Thus the airline was not allowed to approach goals in France more. The airline agreed and may few days later with the French authorities with rented machines again French airports approach.

At present (September 2005) Cameroon operates airlines only a Boeing 757-200.
