The bulb plants or allium plants (Alliaceae) form one today to the Asparagales family counted of the (Liliopsida). The classification of the bulb plants into the lily plants (Liliaceae) is not today any longer scientifically represented.

Description

There is krautige plants. Often they have bulbs, tubers or Rhizome as outlasting organs. The zwittrigen, usually blooms are triple. The Fruchtknoten is upper constant. Cap fruits are formed. Most kinds have the typical bulb smell. The bloom conditions are Dolden, sometimes are nearly ball round them.
