A building contractor is an enterprise, which implements building works and supplies.

Building contractors can become active both on own and on strange reason. In particular large building contractors offer planning and further comprehensive build-referred achievements apart from the remark achievements also.

Depending upon range of the achievements, which an enterprise furnishes in the case of the respective order, one speaks of

• Specialized entrepreneur (a trade)
• General contractor (all trades)
• Total entrepreneur (additional planning services).

The guidance of building contractors takes place predominantly via technically training. Building craft enterprises must have plant manager relating to crafts, who the practice authorization possesses (e.g. Bricklayer master, road construction master).
