Board grapes/clusters belong to the kind common grape vines and as fruit are roughly eaten.

At board grapes/clusters other demands are made than against the Weintraube: The grapes/clusters should be lockerbeerig, the berries largely, juice-rich, poor in cores and tender-shelled. Besides an early ripe one is desired.

Board grapes/clusters do not mature them after the harvest after, rank among the nichtklimakterischen fruits.

• Black Hamburg (Tafeltraubenbhandelsname for the Rebsorte Grossvernatsch (ital. Chiavo grosso) a variant of the Vernatschtraube their German variant as Trollinger one designates.
