The term business rule machine (GRM) or English Business Rule engine (BRE) calls a technical software component a component of a Business Rule management system (BRMS), which makes an efficient execution possible of business rules.

The primary goal of the GRM is it to separate the business logic from the program logic or process logic to to have to make which fundamental changes at the technical business logic made possible without changes at the program code or at the Design of the business process.

Other components of a BRMS are a Business Rule Repository and an Business Rule editor.
