The building site regulation has the goal of contributing by special measures to an improvement of security and health protection of the persons employed on a building site. On 1 July 1998 into force the European building site guideline 92/57/EWG converted stepped building site regulation (BaustellV) into German right.
Special dangers on building sites result in particular from it that work on the building site is implemented at the same time or successively by persons employed of different employers, what the tuning of the employers for the preventive measures which can be met substantially difficult more difficult. Also other on the building site active ones, like entrepreneurs without persons employed, contribute to the danger potentials on the building site.
For the coordination of the safety precautions on the building site the safety and health protection co-ordinator are responsible beside the owner.
