Dr. Bruno Mueller (* 13 September 1905 in Strasbourg; "† 1. March 1960 in Oldenburg) was in the third realm and upper government advice, director/conductor of the Referats III B 4 of the Central Reich Security Office, leader of the employment command 2/I in Poland and the special command 11b in Russia as well as commander of the state police and the SD in Krakau, Rouen, Prague and Kiel.

Origin and study

Bruno Mueller was born on 13 September 1905 in Strasbourg. Already in the year 1931 it joined the NSDAP. After the study of the jurisprudence and the graduation to the Dr. jur., he was a 1933/34 mayor on the North Sea island Norderney.

With the Gestapo

Dr. put to be Assessorexamen down 1935 and transferred in the same year the line of the Gestapostelle to Oldenburg. 1937 it was active in same function in Wilhelmshaven.

At the groups of employments of the state police in Poland

With beginning of the Poland war it was determined to the leader of the employment command 2 (EK 2/I) of the group of employments I of the state police, which was assigned in the context "of the enterprise fir mountain ""the fight all realm and German-hostile elements backwards the fencing troop "and as comprehensive a liquidating of the Polish intelligence layer as possible.

In the time of 16. by 27 September 1939 was the EK 2/I in Jaroslaw at the San. The instruction of the quartermaster general at the supreme command of the army from 12 September 1939 to the deportation of all Jews in east Upper Silesia over the San into the part of Poland, occupied by the Red Army, gave the 14. The EK 2/I was dissolved on 20 November 1939 and used Dr. until December 1939 as a commander of the state police and the SD (KdS) in Krakau as a predecessor of walter Huppenkothen. Into the spring and summer 1940 he was inserted with the KdS into Holland.

In the Central Reich Security Office

From October 1940 until May 1941 Dr. was active as directors/conductors of the Referates III B 4 (immigration and resettlement) of the Central Reich Security Office (RSHA).

At the groups of employments of the state police and the SD in the Ukraine

Before beginning of the war against Russia, groups of employments of the state police and the SD were set up again. Dr. was used first as leader IV/V in the staff of the group of employments D (EGr D) and assigned starting from July 1941 the guidance of the special command 11b (SK 11b). This special command, which had developed from the division of the employment command 11 into the SK 11a and SK 11b, belonged to the EGr D, those under the guidance of Mueller's bureau chief, Dr. Otto Ohlendorf, stood and in the range of the 11. Army was used in the southern Ukraine. While the employment commands in the rear army area were used, the special commands for the employment were intended in the area of operations of the armies. For this reason also from the past employment command 11 the two special commands mentioned were formed.

On 22 July 1941 the army headquarters (compulsory health insurance scheme) instructed to 11 the employment of the SK 11b in the area Romanian compulsory health insurance scheme 2 in around there "after instruction of the boss of the state police in Ismail, Reni, Bolgrad, Akkerman and Odessa orders of political kind and seizure of political booty material to accomplish ". In a hearing by the public prosecutor's office at the 11. May 1962 described the former Johannes Schlupper to the following incident on the occasion of the command delivery on 08 August 1941 in Thigina. Thus stepped "as the first ["…] Mueller to a Jewess, who had a three-year child at the arm, and who by possibly someone, ["…] and said the following: "‚You must die, thus we live can.' Commander of the state police and the SD

Dr. led the SK 11b until October 1941 and starting from December 1941 as a director/conductor of the state police place Stettin was used. By October 1943 until March 1944 it was KdS in Wolhynien, in order to go afterwards to a short use with the EGr E in Croatia in May 1944 as KdS to Rouen and in November 1944 to Prague to the commander of the state police and the SD (BdS). It last was after KdS in Kiel. In this function also the labour camp keel Hassee was subordinate to it.

After the war

1947 were condemned Dr. by a British military court because of its responsibility for the occurrences in the labour camp keel Hassee to 20 years detention. In the course of the amnesty wave released by the cold war, also Dr. became in September 1953 from the detention to already dismiss. He worked then as an insurance buyer. Various attempts of the Polish judicial authorities Dr. because of its activity with the EK 2/I for responsibility to pull, failed in the long run.

At the 1. March 1960 died Dr. Bruno Mueller in Oldenburg.
