Bruce Bechtold (* 31. March 1952 in Baumholder) is a German Katamaransegler.

Bechtold went into Schweningen, meal and into Dormagen to the school. It locked its training as Schaufenstergestalter and an advertising technician in Solingen, where it became acquainted with also his later wife Gabriele (geb. newhope), with which it its son Brian Bechtold and its daughter Joy Bechtold witnessed. They married on 17 September 1976 and three years later, in the year 1979 created Bechtold with Wilfried Kalinowski the company WI-KA, which produces printed circuit boards.

1980 it regarded in holidays at the sea a Segelregatta, which made it curious about this unusual kind of sport and finally found then its passion the Regattasegeln. The high point of its career was 1996 with the world championship of the HobieCat17-Klasse the world championship victory in Sitges (Spain).
