The brothers Faller GmbH is a toy manufacturer made of quality brook, which specialized in model railway accessories. It was created by Edwin and gentleman Mr. Faller.

History

The history of the Gebr. Faller GmbH begins after end of the Second World War under the name company Herrmann Faller. At the beginning was the goal of making for plays and tinkering the experience and of energizing the fantasy of the children and adults. At the beginning simple timber construction boxes develop, with which one could build for example model houses. The company had to put a setback in 1948 at times of the currency reform, since the people did not have any longer sufficient money for the component systems. The company can hold itself only with the production of laundry clips over water. Thereupon the idea came to manufacture accessories for the H0-Modelleisenbahn. Thus the company developed to a world market leader for model railway accessories with nearly 200 coworkers.

1997 were taken over the model construction company POLA (model construction) and taken up their products to the program.

Products

• Model houses and model construction accessories: The first houses were brought to H0 from cardboard as prefabricated buildings or as kits 1955 for size on the market. Soon thereafter the models from plastic were manufactured and also for other sizes.

• AMS (car engine sport) is an electrically operated model autosystem (Slotcar) and 1963 was for the first time introduced. Originally AMS was meant as traffic addition for the model course yardstick H0, on which the offered product range points: (Road elements: Road crossings, traffic lights, building sites, railroad overpasses, branchings, vehicles: Series car and LKWs). This and the yardstick H0 differentiate Faller AMS from the remaining, usual author courses. In the course of the years however also ever more course elements were offered. Due to the technology at that time the vehicles were somewhat too large for the yardstick (Pseudo-H0). 1975 were extended the AMS system by vehicles of the US manufacturer Aurora and renamed to "AMS racing". The own vehicles were sold to a large extent from there on as separate engine chassis and body packings, and should supplement to 1980/81 offered container shipping play as well as the autocourse loading. Until 1985 AMS was offered racing, last even with vehicles to the company TYCO (also a US manufacturer), in the catalog. 1986 were taken AMS from the drop he program. Some years also a variant for trace N was produced, this system had because of not economically miniaturizable drives only different buses as vehicles, the economical production of passenger car models in the N-yardstick was not not possible at that time. Although the AMS vehicles do not fulfill no more the today's requirements concerning model loyalty, there is world-wide a large collecting tank circle.

• Faller car system is the advancement of the idea of the traffic for the model course including the modern technologies. The current supply takes place via Akkus in the vehicle, the steering element via permanent magnets on guidable front axles with the help of the wires embedded in the roadway.
