The border price is decisive for power supply firms with the statement whether a current customer is subject to the obligation for the payment of the concession delivery. It is published by the Federal Ministry for economics and technology (BMWi).

A condition participates that the customer concerned is a separate agreement customer for the supply with electricity, which is attached at conditions again.

The border price for the computation of the concession delivery corresponds to average proceeds of the next to last calendar year for each kilowatt-hour (a KW/H) from the supply of electricity to all separate agreement customers in the federal territory. Average proceeds contain the energy price (compound from work and achievement price as well as the net use payment), since 1999 currentexpensively as well as since 2000 the deliveries after the renewable energy law (EEG) and the force heat mixing rate (KWK-G). The power supply firm must raise and to the municipality concerned exhaust the concession delivery at a value of 0,11 Ct/kWh then, if the current average price of the customer exceeds for the delivery year the valid border price.
