The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is a community of interests of numerous enterprises, which are interested in the development and spreading of the Bluetooth technology. It was created 1998 by Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba. 1999 was added 3Com, Lucent, Microsoft and Motorola.

Bluetooth SIG is owner of the Bluetooth registered trade mark and publisher of the Bluetooth specification.
