The BKK child welfare organization Navodaya registered association is a child welfare organization of the German staff sickness funds. Navodaya means on German "hope for the children ".

The BKK child welfare organization is an independent, non-profit association. The BKK system represents however the most important platform, with whose assistance Navodaya recruits for its activities.

Goals

The BKK child welfare organization would like to support children and young people in strongly by the Tsunami disaster from 26 December 2004 the country Sri Lanka concerned in the sense from "assistance to the self-help ".

Fields of activity

Navodaya engages itself in projects for the improvement of prevention and health care, whereby special attention to girls and women as well as their health and education chances are put.

The welfare organization collects donations for the building of orphanages, schools and obtains child sponsorships and co-operates with selected local and with the accepted relief organizations concerned. So it is to be guaranteed that all donations arrive in full height with the needy ones.

History

As well as the association developed from an idea of Dieter Poppe, executive committee of the energy BKK, for that with a Sri Lanka journey its own picture of devastations by the Tsunami Flutwelle to make itself could from coworkers of this health insurance company. The initiatives in the non-profit association could be bundled by the support of further staff sickness funds as well as the BKK Federal association. From the idea, to help developed so the BKK child welfare organization, which was created officially in September 2005. Poppe became the executive committee of the association.
