The bird Nestwurz is a kind of the kind Neottia in the family of the Orchideen (Orchidaceae).

The name decreases/goes back to the bird-nest-like form of the root stick.


The whole plant works quite unusually, there the blooms, and the sheets the same color, a bright brown, possess. The stature height amounts to about 20 to 40 centimeters.

The spurless blooms smell strongly after honey and grow into hren.Die bloom time are May to July.


As location shady become, nutrient and cousin-rich leaves - and coniferous forests prefers.


Flowers occasionally also underground and is then dusting.

The plants flower usually only few marks and die then partially. Before individual root points pinch themselves off and grow up to their own plant.

The dried impulses are to be seen very resistantly and often still after several years.
