Bilfinger Berger AG is a prominent German building contractor with seat in Mannheim. 2005 was employed world-wide 55,000 coworkers, gained 66% of the conversion abroad.

History

The enterprise was created 1880 under the name white & Bernartz in Lorraine. It moved 1883 to Mannheim and firmierte since 1892 as green and Bilfinger and 1906 into a corporation was converted. 1975 came it to the fusion with the Julius Berger - Bauboag AG to the Bilfinger + Berger building corporation into Mannheim, which since 2001 Bilfinger Berger AG is only called.

Characteristic numbers

In the financial year 2005 for 7.061 millions euro building works and supplies were furnished. Of it was allotted 2,747 to the Ingenierbau, 2,250 to services and 2,081 to the high and industrial building. The conversion was gained to 34% in Germany, 21% in the rest of Europe, 26% in Australia, 9% in Africa and 8% in America. The profit amounted to 66 millions euro. 55,346 coworkers were employed.
