The Berry index indicates the degrees of the diversification of a company. It is computed as complement of the sum of the squared turnover portions (in %) of all independent ranges of an enterprise.

Ex.: B1: 10%B2: 20%B3: 40%B4: 30%p (i) are here the turnover portions in %.

Computation: Berry=1 (0.1 +0.2 +0.4 +0.3 =0,7

The value Berry index is not appropriate between 0 and 1. for 0 meant diversified (single business), the more the value against 1 tended, the more diversified is the total enterprise.
