Bernd Sebastian Kamps (* 1 January 1954 in Beyenburg) is a German physician.

Career/development

Kamps studied in Cologne. He is an author and publisher of numerous medical text books (HIV.NET, HIV Medicine, SARS Reference, influenza report) and language text books (French between the hills of the Venus and the Lenden Adonis).

1998 created Kamps as well as its brother Stephan the medical Internet literature service Amedeo. Amedeo is a free English-language literature service for medicine and had at the beginning of of 2006 according to own data more than 125,000 Abonennten. The service is closely interlaced with PubMed, a medical information Website.

In the meantime Benrd Sebastian Kamps operates several Web portals approximately around medical topics and has 2006 "the Amedeo Textbook Award "in the life called around authors to recompence, who provide medical text books on in common-free basis.
