Benriach is a Whiskybrennerei with Elgin, Scotland, Great Britain.
The Brennerei was built 1898 by John Duff, had however, up to the which supplied Longmorn among other things, for 1900 to again close and became only 1965 of Glenlivet Distillers Ltd. again-opened. 1978 went it at Seagram and to 1985 of two on four fuel blisters were extended. Between 1983 and 1996 among other things unusually torfiger whisky was manufactured, which was meant for Blends, since the nut/mother company at that time did not have a Islay Brennerei. A part of production at that time is in the meantime as single paints available. 1999 was closed the after over 100 years of continuous production. On 19 December 2001 the Destillerie went at Pernod Ricard, which only the production throttled and which only 3 months operated Brennerei in the year, until they put them completely quietly in August 2002. In April 2004 Billy Walker, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter bought the Brennerei, which runs since then again in the normal operation.
The water of the Brennerei belonging to the region Speyside originates from local sources. They had a Maischbottich (mash do) (6.1 t), eight fermenting tanks (wash-out backs) (together 240,000 l), two wash-out stills and two spirit stills, which are heated up with steam.
