The Belgian broadcast (BRF) is the public broadcasting corporation of the German-language community in east Belgium. The transmitter with 65 coworkers and seat in Eupen radiates three radio and a television program. Sendestudios are except in Eupen still in sank Vith and in Brussels.

History

On 1 October 1945 in Brussels the first German-language transmission over medium wave was radiated. one began 1961 with the radiant emittance in 1977 were created the Belgian broadcast and television center of the German-language community (BRF) in Eupen.

In the 90's-years the BRF created a program in Brussels (1993) together with the BBC and referred the radio house at the Eupener turning way (1995). Since October 1999 the BRF sends a television magazine in the cable system of the German-language community.

On 25 November 2001 the Belgian broadcast on the Brussels frequency started 95.2 MHz a community program with the Deutschlandfunk (DLF).

• BRF1 is the realigning, magazine, skirt Pop classical period program.
• BRF2 plays hit and people music.
• BRF-DLF is a broadcast program, which is too received in Brussels and over the cable systems and is produced in co-operation with the Deutschlandfunk.

Television

• The BRF television (in former times: KA3) concentrates primarily on the regional topicality and is exclusive over the cable system to be received. Self-its own program is repeated several times and supplemented by program boards. In a co-operation with the regional transmitter of the area bordering on the German-language community is radiated on weekend also its week summary on the BRF television.
