Bayrak Radyo Televizyon Kurumu (BRT; speak: -RH-width unit; dt. flag radio television broadcasting corporation) is the national broadcast and television company of the Turkish Republic of north Cyprus.

History

The Bayrak Radyo was created as answer to the political strain and discrimination opposite the Cyprus Turks. Their first transmission began on 25 December 1963 in a garage and had a range of 2.5 km. The current supply was accomplished with two car Akkus.

By TURKSAT "BRT-1 TV" is available, "Bayrak Radyosu" and "Bayrak INT" for Turkey, the Near East, Europe and central Asia.
