The basic AG is a chain of supermarkets with seat in Munich, which 1997 were created and excluding products of ecological cultivation sold.

The enterprise is the first German chain of "bio supermarkets ", whose concept is the sales of biological products on large sales areas. Thus these products are to be sold to lower costs than in smaller "bio shops ". The goods are bought mainly by cultivation federations, the are thereby the basis.
