Barkas was the name of an automaker in Saxonia. This VEB master enterprise of the collective combine passenger car was occasional.

History

The enterprise decreases/goes back on from the Skafte Rasmussen 1923 as supplier for to be DKW work in Franconia mountain/Saxonia of created metal works Franconia mountain. 1961 began the quantity production of the completely again developed Barkas B1000 as high-speed transporter.
