An automobile supplier supplies individual construction units to the automakers with (e.g. Screws) or whole building groups (e.g. pre-mounted instrument panels).

The characteristic at this part of the producing trade is the Just in Timesupply of the parts to the customer (car manufacturer). The close linkage, which is for it a condition, coins/shapes the productivity and dependence from each other. On the other hand this market is very attractive because of the usually high numbers of items. Also the complaints about sinking margins of many automobile suppliers did not lead so far to a so strong consolidation that the competition would be obstructed.
