The Austrian astronomical association (abbreviation astroassociation) is in terms of figures strongest federation of astronomers in Austria. It was created and reached around 1930 in Vienna by Professor Oswald Thomas with its monthly review "star messenger" approximately 2000 amateur astronomers.
