August toss (* 1878 in Thuringia, "† April 1947 in Ettenhausen with iron oh) is considered as a discoverer of the diamond occurrences in the proximity of the place load-cut in the colony at that time German southwest Africa, the today's Namibia.

August toss was railway employee in Thuringia and came 1907 on medical advice it suffered under asthma - into the German colony.
