August Karl Gustav beer (* 24 November 1861 in Helsen (bath Arolsen), forest-hit a corner; "† 12. March 1949 in Sauen, Brandenburg) was a German surgeon.

Life

August beer was born 1861 in Helsen with Kassel. After the obligatory school attendance medicine at the universities in Berlin, Leipzig and Kiel studied from 1881 to 1886, where it was affected considerably by Friedrich of Esmarch. After it had practiced before as country doctor and a ship's doctor, August beer habilitierte itself 1889 at the Kieler surgical university clinic, where it became 1894 extra full professor.

There it began also its attempts to the local anaesthesia with the injection of cocaine solution directly into the back Mark channel. It invented the back Mark anaesthesia by experiments to its assistants and self attempts. The effect of the was tested by the fact that it peeled with a cocaine syringe assistant of shame hair to its off and squeezed the testicles.
