An assembly enterprise (also: Assembly enterprise, assembly company) is an enterprise, which specialized in installing and/or the assembly of prefabricated construction units. As processing enterprises assembly companies belong to the secondary sector of the economy.

The activity can take place - depending upon industry and final product - in the assembly workshop, directly at the client and/or customers (for instance with a building site) or in the free one. In the latter cases the accomplishing persons are "on assembly".

Assembly enterprises are among other things in the following fields active:

• Building industry (deep and above ground construction, roofs, resounding, fire protection"Â…)
• Interior fittings (soils, installations, heating, window and doors, wall lining, shelves etc.)
