ASEAN plus Three, German plus three, is the name for common conferences of the ten ASEAN states with Japan, South Korea and the People's Republic of China. The committee was created in the year 1997.

To 6. May 2000 adopted the ASEAN plus three meeting of the Ministers of Finance in Chiang May, Thailand the so-called Chiang May initiative.
