Archibald Menzies (* 15. March 1754 in Styx (Scotland), Scotland; "† 15 February 1842) was a British physician and biologist.
As a surgeon in the Royal Navy employed, and later also than biologist, he undertook several expedition travels. Thus he took part for example in George Vancouvers journey around the world on board the HMS Discovery. It e.g. discovered many plants still unknown in Europe, among them [[Chilean Araukarie]) or ((westAustralian can plant)) (((and/or dwarf jug))). In addition, its abilities as a physician lent in the fame, since it is after-said to him that none died the expedition participant in an illness.
It completed the majority of its Navy service in west India, after its military career opened it a medical practice in the Londoner quarter Notting Hill.
