Apax cared for far far approx. 20 billion US Dollar at inserts and sees its plant emphasis in growth markets and with equity financings, in particular in the industries telecommunications, IT, retail trade, Media, Healthcare and financial services.

History

In the year 1972 Ronald Cohen had the vision of an international investment company, which should seize enterprise founders under the arms. In co-operation with Maurice offices in England, France and the USA under the name MMG were created.

Independently of this development Alan Patricof created the enterprise Alan Patricof Associates in the year 1969 in the USA. 1977 united the three founders. In the year 1980 in the USA the first fund over 25 million US dollar was gone, 1981 followed the first fund in England over the sum of 10 million Pound.

On urge of the investors 1999 the first pan European fund was created, which should bundle the activities of the European and the Israeli office. In the same year the Apax Globis fund in Japan was put on.

2001 became the name of the US enterprise in Apax Partners Inc. renamed, the offices in Europe and the USA united to 2002 to Apax of partner Worldwide LLP.

After the announcement Ronald Cohens, it wants to withdraw itself from the management, leads for January 2004 Dr. Martin Halusa the fate of the enterprise.

In April 2005 the union with Saunders Karp & Megrue, one took place on assumptions specialized US enterprises. Both enterprises firmieren since then under the name Apax of partner, L.P.
