By Andritzer post office falsification one understands the falsification of two values of the Austrian expenditure for postage mark of 1925 in and-cuts (today an urban district of Graz) for the damage of the post office.

History

The two values falsified to 24 and 39 groschens of the Austrian expenditure for postage mark of 1925, whose motive was a simple number design, of an unemployed person industrial employee out and-cut. Postage marks were so far mindful with no preventive measures, since their falsification would make little sense. The Grazer unemployed person was however married with an auxiliary woman official of the post office; its wife was at the post office and-cuts employed. It brought now the postage marks falsified by their man into traffic. That happened between 26 June and 4 October 1933, which is occupied by the postmarks of the received post office falsifications.

The post office falsification today

Only 17 used copies of the value to 24 groschens of the Andritzer post office falsification are today well-known. Unused values are not yet admit become, what suggests that all post office falsifications were completely used up. From the values to 39 groschens so far still no pieces, neither marked nor unused, emerged. One knows the existence of this value only by recordings.

The value of the marked Andritzer post office falsification to 24 groschens is for instance with "€ 3000, although the price in the usual stamp catalogs, as Michel or ANK is set, strongly under it. It amounts to in the two catalogs only "€ 1000 and/or 1250.
