Andreas Elias of (* 9 April 1701 in Erfurt; "† 29 July 1769 in resounds) was a German physician.

Life

After the attendance of the High School in its hometown, to studied in medicine resounds. Later it changed in the same subject to the university to Leipzig. There it locked its study 1721 successfully with a graduation. In Erfurt it could habilitieren 1725 and got themselves in the following year an employment as Physicus of the city Rudolstadt.

1729 accepted a call after Erfurt and a.o.Prof. were appointed there. 1737 were promoted to to o.Prof. and full professor. 1744 one appointed it in same function to the university resounds. There one carried it whether its earnings/services very soon to the secret Medizinalrat.

Some years was already tidy member of the Leopoldina (German academy of the natural scientists) as the presidency it 1735 to its president selected. became thereby the successor of Johann Jakob Baier and selected themselves as society name Bacchius.

At the age of 68 years Andreas Elias died on 29 July 1769 in resounds.
