Analysis & criticism are one since 1979 of the social philosophers Michael Baurmann (at present Heinrich Heine university Duesseldorf) and for Anton out carry (University of Zurich) published magazine for social theory with contributions in German and English language. It appears in the science publishing house Lucius & Lucius twice annually.

The technical periodical, in the year 2005 in 27. Class, sits down to the goal of discussing "basic questions of empirical and normative theories of the society". It tends normative to liberal positions, which will represent also from the publishers. Explicitly the journal addresses engaged sociologists and - philosophers, who want to represent positions with the means of analytic clarity and precision. Although the magazine commits itself reconciliation between anglo-saxon and continental-European positions, it seizes clearly a party for analytic philosophy.
