Don Alvaro Estrada (* 1769 in Pola de Somiedo, Asturien; "† 1853) were a Spanish political economist.

Estrada studied jurisprudence and ward 1808 general power of attorney gate of the province Asturien. Inspired by glowing Patriotismus, he dared to arise first against Napoleon I. Later it played a large role in the policy and to the lifelong Deputierten and senator was chosen. Frankly it defended also the national rights against the returned king Ferdinand VII. in its Representaclon Fernando VII., which work was translated nearly into all European languages. During the reaction from 1820 it drew up the opposition sheet El appearing to tribuno del pueblo. In the year 1823 he had to emigrate to France, where he from its famous work Curso de economia politica (5. Aufl. 1843; franz., Par. 1833, 3 Bde.) an excerpt under the title Elementos de economia politica (Madr. 1841) published. F. died 1853.
