Alexander (* 8 April 1885 in Wiesbaden; "† 30 June 1963 in Heidelberg) was a German sociologist and economist.

As a son of an old Prussian officer family he put down prematurely 1903 its maturity examination at the Bismarck High School to German Wilmersdorf with Berlin. It studied mathematics, physics, philosophy, old philology, jurisprudence and political economy from 1903 to 1908 in Goettingen, Munich and Berlin. attained a doctorate 1908 with Paul Hensel at the University of attaining with his work "the liar.
