Air Mauritanie is a national airline from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

History

Air Mauritanie was created 1962 by the state and started one year later the flying operation with Fokker 27. Since 1983 two Fokker F28 became assigned, at the capital are air Afrique involved; with Iberia and air Maroc one co-operates during flights after Gran Canaria and Casablanca. 1998 were leased a ATR-42, these had to be returned however again. But one procured oneself still another Fokker F28.

On July in the year 1994 fell Fokker a F28, 13 from 93 passengers survived.
