The agria works GmbH is a manufacturer of engine devices in the agrarian and local range and products such as garden milling and small tractors. The enterprise was created 1945 by Erwin and Dipl. - engineer Otto in Ruchsen with The first production plants originated from the remnants of the gear factory from Karlsruhe and became secured before the disassembly as reparation.

Operating history

Agria attained special call as a manufacturer of garden milling, with whose production 1947 one began. In the meantime over 1 million devices by Agria were manufactured.

Agria manufactured a milling cutter with the modified 50-ccm-2,5-PS-3-Gang-NSU-Quickly-Motor - NSU type 35 - in the 1950er and 1960er-Jahren, the Agriette and/or Agria baby; colloquially therefore it also herb moped mentioned.
