3DLabs is an enterprise, which manufactured diagram maps for the professional range until 2006. It was created in April 1994. In October 1996 the trade with the shares of the enterprise at the stock exchange NASDAQ began. In July 1998 the enterprise was transferred dynamic Pictures, in July 2000 a department of intergraph. 3DLabs was bought up in June 2002 by Creative lab for approximately 104 million US Dollar. At the beginning of of 2006 was stopped the development by diagram chips in the range "professional workstation" to favour of Handhelds. The market share of 3Dlabs diagram maps becomes world-wide estimated under installation course of all diagram chip manufacturers on under 1% (conditions 2005).

The conversion amounted to in the year 2003 approx. 25-30 million US Dollar.

3DLabs is member in the OpenGL Architecture Review board and plays an important role with the development of OpenGL 2,0, for which its Wildcat VP-Grafikkartenreihe is the reference platform.

The diagram processor GLINT 300SX is considered as the first individual integrated circuit, which was capable to support the 3D-Computergrafik.
